My Favorite Yarn

I don't think my yarn stash is overwhelming but my goal is to use up most of it. But I just can't help myself when my favorite and most used yarn is on sale or I have a coupon. So even though I have used up a lot of yarn, it steadily grows again, especially with my favorite colors.

My favorite yarn right now is Caron Simply Soft, Walmart sells them for under $3.00, they don't have all the colors but a good selection. If I need a color they don't sell I wait for a sale or coupon from other stores.

Just like the name of this yarn it is soft with a slight sheen, I love its weight and feel when working on a project. There are lots of colors to choose from and I especially love that most of the colors come in different shades. An important reason why I buy Caron Simply Soft is the yardage for the price, excluding the two heather grey colors one ball of yarn is over 300 yards, for someone who loves using the yarn eating bobble stitch this is a very good thing.

Welcome

This is my first post on my new blog and I would like to say welcome to you all. I will be sharing my love of crafting, sewing and crochet. In the old days it was television, books and magazines that was my source for learning all about the things I wanted to try and make. Now with the internet, not only are there so many places where you can find inspiration but also an unlimited availability to find help when needed. I am a very analytical person, I want to know why not just how. This kind of thinking will be incorporated into my blog posts. I always find it helpful and interesting to know the story behind peoples projects and choices.

The name of my blog, which is also the name of my Instagram and Etsy shop was inspired by my dog Daisy Bear. Here she is enjoying one of my crochet blankets.
